Stuttgart misfit Hakan Yakin has returned to his homeland to sign for Swiss outfit Young Boys Berne.The talented international midfielder joined Stuttgart in a ‚é¼2.5 million move from Basel in January 2004 but never managed to establish himself at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion.
Yakin spent the second half of last season at Turkish giants Galatasaray but failed to do enough to secure a permanent switch.
The 28-year-old schemer will now be hoping to resurrect his flagging career in his home country after agreeing a three-year deal with Berne.
