Bayern Munich are not looking to strengthen their defence in the close season as they are eagerly awaiting the return of Philipp Lahm.

The right-footed left back has been a revelation since being farmed out by Bayern to Stuttgart on a two-year loan in order to gain experience.

The Germany international has been an ever-present since joining the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion outfit with his performances even securing him a place in Euro 2004.

When asked whether Bayern need to strengthen, chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge highlighted Lahm's return as a plus move for the club.

"We'll get Philipp Lahm back from Stuttgart, and he'll definitely strengthen us at left back," explained Rummenigge to the club's website.
