Felix Kroos hopes to establish himself further after signing a new three-year contract with Werder Bremen.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who is the brother of Real Madrid-bound Toni, has committed his future to the northern Germany club, for whom he has already made 31 appearances in the Bundesliga.
"I'm very happy here and I want to establish myself further in this club," he said. "Personally, I think I have the best prospects here in Bremen.
"I'm pleased to continue being part of this great team. We have a fantastic team spirit within the team and you can sense every day that we're pursuing a common goal."
Like his brother Toni, Kroos started his career with Hansa Rostock before moving to Bremen in 2010.
He made his Bundesliga debut on November 28, 2010 and scored his first goal last season, in the match against Schalke.
"By extending Felix's contract, we've been able to secure another key component of our team's future development," said Bremen's director of sport Thomas Eichin.
"He's an extremely important player and has made excellent progress here. I'm pleased that we can also plan with him for the coming years."
