Werder Bremen captain Clemens Fritz says he is considering his future at the Bundesliga club after being unhappy with his displays this season.
The 33-year-old's current deal is set to expire in the summer but if he maintains his regular first-team appearances, then a one-year extension will be automatically triggered.
Fritz has featured on 13 occasions so far this season for Bremen, who sit 14th in the table, and the full-back spoke of his current contract situation.
"My contract is actually valid until the end of the season and I won a clause that is tied to a certain amount of first-team appearances.
"This is no secret at all. We will be sitting down come spring time of 2014. I am without injuries and feel good in physical terms.
"Still I am not happy with my level of performances this season."
