Klaus Allofs: Bremen are reported to want to offload out-of-favour midfielder Wesley

Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has ruled out the possibility of any transfer activity in the January window.

Thomas Schaaf's team sit fifth during the Bundesliga winter break and are well placed to challenge for the UEFA Champions League positions in the second half of the season.

Bremen have been linked with a bid to bring in Austria Vienna midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic, while they have also been reported to want to offload out-of-favour midfielder Wesley.

But Allofs told kicker-Sportmagazin: "We do not plan to make any action during the transfer window. We have a big enough squad.

"We do not plan to change. We are well prepared on any position."

Allofs revealed his club would rather wait until the summer to move for Austria international Junuzovic, who is out of contract in June.

"We have been looking at Zlatko Junuzovic, just like other clubs. It is too early to say anything concrete on that," said Allofs.
