Marcus Rosenberg was delighted after salvaging a point for Werder Bremen against Bayern Munich on Sunday.
The striker, who joined from Ajax in January, came on in the second half and helped Hugo Almeida's chip over the line to leave the final score at 1-1.
Werder now trail Bundesliga leaders Schalke by just three points and Rosenberg feels they are well placed to win the title.
"It might be one of our most important goals in the league," Rosenberg told Sportbladet.
"It is always important to take a point away at Bayern.
"We are in a good position now, because Schalke have a tougher schedule left than us.
"In the coming weeks they must play both Stuttgart and Bayern Munich."
