Werder Bremen striker Aaron Hunt has agreed a contract extension at the Weserstadion.

The 20-year-old put pen to paper on a new three-year deal on Monday committing himself to the north German outfit until June 2010.

‚Ç£We had actually agreed the extension with Aaron a few months ago, but we just had a few details to sort out in recent weeks,‚Ç¥ commented Werder sport director Klaus Allofs.

‚Ç£Aaron has underlined his great talent in this season and has become an important part of our team.

‚Ç£We are particularly pleased that one of the players from our own junior teams has made the grade in the first team squad.‚Ç¥

Hunt, who joined Bremen in 2000, has been coach Thomas Schaaf's most regular striking partner for Miroslav Klose this season, demoting the likes of Ivan Klasnic, Hugo Almeida and Mohamed Zidan to the Werder bench.
