Bundesliga leaders Werder Bremen were shocked on home soil as Borussia Dortmund put them to the sword 3-1.
Werder went into the game looking to extend their lead at the summit to five points but they had no response to an excellent Dortmund away day.
Swiss hit-man Alexander Frei got his side off to the perfect start when he punished some poor Clemens Fritz defending in the seventh minute but just shy of the half-hour mark and Werder were level when Miroslav Klose netted a fine equaliser.
In the second half, though, Dortmund showed they are no soft touch either when first Tinga, in converting when left unmarked at a corner, and then Marc Kruska - from the penalty spot five minutes from time - put Werder firmly on the back foot.
The win moves Dortmund up to fourth and within five points of Werder.
