Werder Bremen sport director Klaus Allofs has reiterated that German World Cup star Miroslav Klose will not be leaving the club after the World Cup.
Media reports claim interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal for the 28-year-old, but Allofs says he is not prepared to let him go just yet for any price.
"We want to have a team that is able to challenge for trophies next season," he told German TV channel DSF.
"We are in the Champions League and want to finish in the top three in the Bundesliga.
"In order to do that we need players like Miroslav Klose. He will be playing for us next season."
Allofs did, however, admit that the former Kaiserslautern striker was likely to try his luck abroad in the future.
"We spoke to Miro before the World Cup and he told us that he could imagine playing abroad at some point in his career," admitted Allofs.
"I have no problem with that at all, but it just won't be after this World Cup. He is contracted to us until 2008."
