Germany striker Miroslav Klose will miss his country's weekend international against Turkey.
The Werder Bremen forward had to pull out of Jurgen Klinsmann's squad for Saturday's friendly after going down with a bout of flu. Klose is now doubtful for next Wednesday's game at home to China.
The news comes as a second major blow to coach Klinsmann, who will also travel to Istanbul without captain Michael Ballack, who is ill.
Wolfsburg's Mike Hanke has been promoted from the Under-21 squad to join the first team in place of Klose, as Klinsmann steps up his preparations ahead of next summer's World Cup.
