A host of European clubs are tracking highly-rated Australian midfielder Josh Brillante, Sky Sports understands.
Newcastle Jets ace Brillante has come on the radar of several European sides after his stand-out performances for the Australian Under-20 side at last month's U20 World Cup in Turkey.
Brillante impressed so much for the Young Socceroos he was drafted into the senior Australia squad by Holger Osieck and is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge from Australia in recent years.
A number of sides across England, Italy and Germany are now weighing up moves for Brillante and are ready to test Newcastle Jets' resolve to hang onto their prize asset.
The likes of Everton, Lazio and Schalke are all thought to be admirers of Brillante and are monitoring his situation.
The 20-year-old would have no issues regarding winning a work permit if he came to Europe as he has dual citizenship due to his Italian heritage.
