Keeper signs from Schalke on loan until end of season

Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann has agreed to join Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season. The 20-year-old demonstrated impressive performances for Schalke when replacing injured shot-stopper Manuel Neuer earlier this season. Fahrmann has now signed for Frankfurt, and has accepted a three-year contract to move in the summer. "It was a very close decision between Cologne and Frankfurt," Fahrmann told Express. "The most important question for me was where will I be able to play first-team football next year and the chance of this seems greater in Frankfurt." Chairman Heribert Bruchhagen added: "In Ralf Fahrmann we were able to sign one of the most promising goalkeeping talents in Germany. "I'm convinced that he will contribute to Eintracht's sporting development."
