Eintracht Frankfurt captain Jermaine Jones has agreed a move to Schalke in the summer.
According to German media reports, the 25-year-old midfielder will put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the Veltins Arena after deciding to continue his career at Schalke.
VfB Stuttgart were also reportedly interested in the former Germany Under 21 star.
Jones, who has endured an injury-plagued season with struggling Frankfurt and is currently sidelined following a meniscus operation, was informed by the club several weeks ago that his expiring contract would not be renewed.
His decision will make him the third new face in Gelsenkirchen next season following the Royal Blues' signings of Arminia Bielefeld defender Heiko Westermann and Hansa Rostock goalkeeper Mathias Schober.
