Eintracht Frankfurt captain Jermaine Jones appears to be a target for Bundesliga high-flyers Schalke and Stuttgart.
According to reports in the German press, the 25-year-old could be tempted on a free transfer in the summer, with Jones having refused so far to extend his contract at the Commerzbank-Arena.
Frankfurt coach Friedhelm Funkel is desperate to keep Jones, but Bundesliga rivals Schalke and Stuttgart seem keen on the talented defensive midfielder.
Jones sealed his breakthrough with The Eagles five years ago and quickly established himself as a leading figure again when returning to the club in 2005 after an ill-fated 12-month spell with Bayer Leverkusen.
It remains to be seen if playing for one of Germany's top teams is too good to resist for the Frankfurt-born star.
