Struggling Bundesliga outfit Hamburg have completed the signing of Schalke goalkeeper Frank Rost.
The experienced custodian, who lost his first-team place in Gelsenkirchen to youngster Manuel Neuer, has agreed a deal through to 2009 at the AOL Arena.
Rost will join his new team-mates at their training camp in Dubai on Friday and looks set to make his debut in Monday's friendly against the Iranian national team.
"I'm really looking forward to the challenge," the 33-year-old said. "Hamburg have a team with huge potential."
Hamburg sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer expressed his delight at the signing.
"Frank's great experience will be of immense help to us and provide the whole team with extra stability," Beiersdorfer added.
