Schalke team manager Andreas Muller says out-of-favour goalkeeper Frank Rost will not be leaving the Royal Blues.
Rost lost his place to youngster Manuel Neuer earlier in the month and has been forced to watch the last three Bundesliga matches from the bench.
However, despite his current situation, Muller has been quick to quash speculation that the 33-year-old wants to leave Gelsenkirchen.
"We need two good goalkeepers and that's what we've got at the moment. If we let one of them go then that will no longer be the case," he told Kicker.
Muller added that he expected Rost to try and get back into the team through solid training performances.
"He will tackle the situation and battle," he added. "That's what I expect him to do."
