Schalke captain Marcelo Bordon says the team's internal 'mole' will face tough consequences when his identity is known.

Germany international Gerald Asamoah was suspended by the Royal Blues for one match earlier this month after comments he made about coach Mirko Slomka were passed on to Schalke management by an as yet unknown team-mate.

The incident brought the club into the headlines for all the wrong reasons and Bordon has made it clear that the player responsible can expect problems when his identity is revealed.

"The ‚Çÿmole' will make a mistake sometime or another and then the truth will come to light," the Brazilian defender told SportBild.

"When this happens then it's down to the club to take tough measures.

"As long as we've got this ‚Çÿmole' in our ranks we are never going to return to an atmosphere of complete trust within the squad."

Despite the off-pitch problems, Schalke have made a good start to the Bundesliga season and are currently joint top of the table with ten points from five matches.
