Schalke striker Ebbe Sand has spoken of his desire to finish his career off in style by winning the Uefa Cup.
The former Denmark international will retire at the end of the season after bagging 100 goals in 275 appearances for the Gelsenkirchen outfit.
Sand is desperate to cap off his time in Schalke with silverware and believes that should his side win through to the Uefa Cup final it would be a fitting finale.
"I want to lift the Uefa Cup trophy at the Philips Stadion and then enjoy a big cigar with manager Rudi Assauer," Sand told BT.
"It will be a bit sad to bid farewell, but I am retiring at the right time.
"I need to kick myself to keep the motivation. Actually, I am looking forward to a new life with my family and a new challenge as youth coach at Silkeborg."
