Bayern Munich bounced back to winning ways in Die Bundesliga with a 2-0 home win over Wolfsburg.

The champions - who lost to Hamburg last week - were made to work hard by the Wolves, who had lost just once all season going into the game.

The deadlock was broken just after the hour by Paraguayan, Roque Santa Cruz, and the win was sealed on the stroke of full time by Lucio.

Werder Bremen took advantage of the fact that Hamburg play on Sunday by climbing above them and into second.

They went behind at Hertha Berlin when Pal Dardai (48) fired home, but two goals in the last five minutes from Tim Borowski (85) and Nelson Valdez (89) gave them victory.

Schalke are still unbeaten and they are now in fourth after their 1-0 success at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Danish star Soren Larsen pounced with the winner just after the hour mark.

Frankfurt now find themselves bottom after previously winless Nurnberg claimed a 2-1 triumph against Cologne.

Stefan Kiessling was the hero for the home side as his brace gave them victory, although Patrick Helmes's strike late on made for a nervous finish.

Bayer Leverkusen needed a late goal from Andrej Voronin to rescue a point at home to Arminia Bielefeld.

Isaac Boakye gave the visitors the lead just before the hour, but Ukrainian, Voronin, swooped to seal a share of the spoils.

Borussia Monchengladbach's great start to the season continued with a 1-0 win over Mainz, with Jose Antonio's (37) strike the difference between the two sides.

Hannover and Duisburg continue near the wrong end of the table after they played out a 1-1 draw at the AWD Arena.

Michael Delura gave Hannover the lead early on, but Abdelaziz Ahanfouf fired home to seal a draw for Duisburg.
