Schalke goalkeeper Frank Rost has signed a new three-year deal with the club.Schalke goalkeeper Frank Rost has signed a new three-year deal with the club.
The 32-year-old had one year left on his current deal but has now extended his stay with the German side until 2009.
Rost was in great form for Schalke last term as Schalke finished second in the Bundesliga, and he has now committed his future to the club.
Schalke general manager Rudi Assauer says that Rost is one of the three best keepers in Germany and is glad he has signed a new deal.
"Frank's class in goal does not get the attention it deserves," said Assauer.
"He ranks among the best three goalkeepers in Germany for me. I find it anyway unfortunate that he receives no attention from the national team hardly, because I know what it would mean to him."
