Bayern Munich look set to seal the Bundesliga title after stretching their lead to nine points with a 3-1 win against Bochum.
Claudio Pizarro, Michael Ballack and Roy Makaay were all on target for Bayern, with Filip Tapalovic getting a consolation goal for the visitors in a convincing victory.
Schalke's slim hopes of catching Bayern appear to have evaporated, with Hertha Berlin beating them 4-1.
Yildiray Basturk, Marcelinho, with a brace, and Nando Rafael grabbed Hertha's goals, with Ebbe Sand on target for Schalke.
Stuttgart could have leapfrogged Schalke but were held to a 0-0 draw by Wolfsburg, whilst Hamburg beat Hansa Rostock 3-0 courtesy of goals from Emile Mpenza, Collin Benjamin and Naohiro Takahara.
Massimillio Porcello scored a hat-trick in Arminia's 3-1 win over Freiburg, with Ellery Cairo scoring the visitors' goal.
Borussia Dortmund grabbed a 4-2 win against Kaiserslautern with Jan Koller scoring twice.
Ewerthon and Sebastian Kehl had cancelled out Halil Altintop's opener, but Ioannis Amanatidis had levelled the game by half time, before Koller won it for the hosts in the second half.
Mathias Abel and Fabian Gerber were on target for Mainz as they beat Hannover 2-0.
