Striker Michael Delura is believed to want to leave Schalke after slipping down the Royal Blues' pecking order.

The 19-year-old is regarded as being one of the brightest young forwards in Germany, but has failed to make the breakthrough at the Arena AufSchalke this season.

Delura netted four times in 15 appearances under former coach Jupp Heynckes last season, however new boss Ralf Rangnick (pictured) has gone with the likes of Ailton, Gerald Asamoah, Ebbe Sand and Mike Hanke this time around.

"I have an appointment to see general manager Rudi Assauer next week and we will discuss my future then," said Delura.

Should the German Under-20 international be given permission to move on, Bundesliga new boys Mainz are reportedly interested in his services.
