Reserve goalkeeper Christofer Heimeroth will now stay at the Royal Blues until 2006, whilst defender Fabian Lamotte has agreed a one-year extension.
Both players received the chance of first team football last term and impressed the club's management sufficiently to merit new contracts.
"Christofer showed during his three Bundesliga games last season that he has great talent," said Schalke team manager Andreas Muller.
"Frank Rost is still our number one, but it is important for the team to know that they have a reserve goalkeeper that they can rely on."
Muller revealed that he had offered Lamotte a longer-term deal, but the 22-year-old preferred to await developments at the club next season.
"He is a very strong player on the right flank - a young German who has got what it takes to make it in the Bundesliga," Muller said.
