SCHALKE midfielder Niels Oude Kamphuis has been forced to withdraw from the Dutch national squad due to injury, with coach Louis van Gaal replacing him with Willem II midfielder Danny Landzaat.

Kamphuis was rewarded for his fine season in the Bundesliga with his first inclusion in the national squad, but a late injury has ruled the 25-year-old out of the match with Estonia.

Landzaat has been called to replace Kamphuis, a decision that will be a boost to Fortuna Sittard.

Landzaat will now have to miss the final round of Dutch games of the season on Thursday, where Willem face Fortuna and De Graafschap are set to entertain NAC Breda.

The two remaining games were carried over from the weekend, as a mark of respect to NAC Breda`s Ferry van Vliert, who died in a car crash on Friday evening.

Fortuna and De Graafschap are battling it out to avoid the final relegation play-off spot, and the loss of Landzaat will weaken Willem`s team and boost the chances of Fortuna.

Landzaat has scored 12 goals from midfield this term, and has played in every game this season.

The player is well known to van Gaal, having made his debut under the former Barcelona coach at Ajax in March 1996.

The 2-0 defeat by Roda was his only game in an Ajax shirt, as he moved onto MVV and them Willem II - where he has developed a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder.
