Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic has insisted that the club will fight off any offers to sign in-demand defender Antonio Rudiger.

The imposing 21-year-old centre-back was linked with a host of potential suitors in the summer, with Manchester United, Porto and Monaco all reportedly keen on securing Rudiger's services.

Bobic says the club received several offers from clubs from across Europe, but the player is happy to stay and Stuttgart will not cash in on the promising defender.

"Rudiger is a first-team player of our club," Bobic told German newspaper TZ.

"There are many attempts from clubs to persuade him to leave our club.

"And it's definitely not an easy thing for the player to resist these offers.

"We have said we are out to keep him at Stuttgart and it will be tough.

"Still we want to hand him a great future at our club."
