Transfer news: Hertha Berlin target Lille forward Salomon Kalou

Sky Sports understands Hertha Berlin are leading the chase to sign Lille forward Salomon Kalou.

Kalou recently admitted his future at Lille was uncertain and that he was attracted by a possible move to Germany.

The likes of Sunderland and Arsenal have been linked with a possible move for former Chelsea man Kalou, but it appears the Ivory Coast international is set to head to the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach have expressed an interest in Kalou, but Hertha are hoping to win the race for the 29-year-old's signature.

Lille are resigned to losing Kalou after missing out on qualification for the Champions League group phase and are thought to be willing to sell the forward for £3million.

Hertha have firmed up their interest in Kalou and are ready to offer him a lucrative three-year deal to move to the German capital.
