Newly-promoted Bundesliga side Paderborn are in talks with Wolfsburg over striker Stefan Kutschke.
The 25-year-old featured just eight times for Wolfsburg last season, and he is being lined up as Paderborn's fifth summer signing.
Wolfsburg general manager Klaus Allofs told kicker-Sportmagazin: "Michael Born (SC Paderborn general manager) has contacted me about this (a transfer of Stefan Kutschke).
"We have talked about the general parameters of a deal. We will talk to each other again in the next couple of days. There are also other clubs interested in Stefan Kutschke, the player has got a certain transfer value."
Meanwhile, Allofs has confirmed that Daniel Caligiuri could also be allowed to leave the club after attracting interest from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Allofs said:"Daniel Caligiuri is under contract at our club, he really is a valuable member of our first-team squad.
"Nonetheless there is a chance Daniel (Caliguiri) will not be a regular first-team player of our team in the future."
