Werder Bremen's Eljero Elia has conceded he could leave the club if he fails to win back his place in the first team.
The Dutch international has expressed his disappointment in being substituted during games.
This season, the 27-year-old has featured three times as a substitute, including their recent 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The winger, known for his electric pace, joined from Juventus during the summer of 2012 and is under contract until the summer of 2016 - but has said he could leave the German team before then.
Speaking to Kreiszeitung Syke, Elia said: "I am always unhappy when I am not playing matches from the start. Therefore I am well able to imagine leaving Werder Bremen, although at this point in time I am unable to make a comment on the issue.
"We will only be able to see what's on at the end of the campaign. Either I am to stay on or Werder Bremen is selling me then."
