Bundesliga side Stuttgart have confirmed the signing of Ecuador Under-20 international Carlos Gruezo on a four-year deal.
The 18-year-old midfielder has joined the German outfit from Ecuadorian side Barcelona SC Guayaquil for a transfer fee reported to be around £1.2million.
Gruezo started a trial at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena at the beginning of the month and, after undergoing a medical, Stuttgart pushed through a deal.
Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have signed Carlos Gruezo, a player we have had tracked for some time already. During his trial spell at our club he had shown his qualities recently.
"Carlos is a great talent with a lot of future potential who can fit right in at our club."
