Hertha Berlin striker Ben Sahar has confirmed that he is in talks with Bundesliga 2 side Arminia Bielefeld.
The former Chelsea man has found first-team opportunities limited since joining on a free transfer from Espanyol in 2012, failing to feature in the Bundesliga so far this campaign.
Sahar has another year remaining on his current deal in Berlin, but admits that he could be prepared to step down a level in order to play regular football.
"I would like to stay on in the German leagues, definitely," he told BILD.
"I had a good conversation with the bosses of Arminia Bielefeld and it handed me a positive feeling about it. But nothing is done yet."
Meanwhile, Arminia Bielefeld's general manager Samir Arabi confirmed that the club are in talks with Sahar's agent regarding a move.
"We are in touch with Maikel Stevens (Sahar's agent) day-in, day-out," he said.
"Still we have been told he also has enquiries from foreign-based clubs."
