Hertha Berlin coach Jos Luhukay has hinted the club will look to sign on-loan midfielder Tolga Cigerci on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Cigerci is spending the campaign at Hertha from Wolfsburg after taking in last term on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

He has made six Bundesliga appearances for Hertha and reports have suggested the club will try to reach an agreement with Wolfsburg about a permanent deal.

Luhukay has been pleased with the impact of the 21-year-old, but acknowledged there is no rush to make a decision on Cigerci's future.

"We usually do not have to talk about that with regard to Tolga Cigerci at this point in time," Luhukay told Berliner Kurier regarding a permanent deal.

"This decision will be taken during the second phase of the season.

"But Tolga Cigerci is getting better from match to match. He works hard, he is a good football player. We are happy to have him."
