Mame Biram Diouf has insisted he is enjoying life at Hannover following recent speculation about the forward's future.
Diouf's contract expires at the end of the season and, as reports continue to suggest that he is attracting widespread interest, Hannover general manager Dirk Dufner admitted earlier this week there were currently no talks over a new deal.
While the former Manchester United man has refused to give any guarantees about staying, he says joining the club has been the highlight of his career and he remains happy.
"I am under contract with Hannover and I like being at the club," the Senegal international told kicker-Sportmagazin.
"Hanover is a good place to be. I feel signing for Hannover was the best thing I ever did in my life."
Hannover chairman Martin Kind remains optimistic that a deal can be agreed to keep Diouf at the club.
"Mame Biram Diouf is an excellent player for Hannover," said Kind.
"He has already shown how important he is for our club. We will hopefully be able to keep him at our club."
