Hoffenheim striker Eren Derdiyok says he prefers a switch to Bundesliga rivals Hamburg over a potential move to Serie A side Torino.
The Switzerland international only joined Hoffenheim last summer, but he appears to be surplus to requirements having only netted once in his debut season.
Hamburg and Torino are the two clubs reported to be leading the way for his signature, but the 25-year old says that staying in Germany is his preference.
"At this moment in time Hamburger SV needs to sell a few players first, I know they want to get rid of some," he told BILD.
"But I am considering this. Joining Torino is not an option for me, I am not keen on playing in Serie A and Torino is a club that is always in the bottom half of the table."
