Kevin Kuranyi says he will remain with Dynamo Moscow despite talk linking him with a return to the Bundsliga.
The striker moved to the Russian capital in 2010 and still has two years left on his current Dynamo contract.
The 31-year-old began his career with VfB Stuttgart before enjoying five prolific years with Schalke 04.
Capped 52 times by Germany, Kuranyi left for Dynamo in 2010 and he told German magazine Kicker that although missing his homeland he is happy to remain where he is.
"I am missing the league a little bit, and, of course, I have been in touch with Germany again," he said.
"There were two enquiries I received this summer, but I am still under contract at Dynamo Moscow.
"I am still committed. I am very much enjoying my time in Moscow with my family."
