Nurnberg have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Wolfsburg for the sale of Timm Klose.
As they bid farewell to one defender, they will acquire Emanuel Pogatetz from the Wolves as part of the deal.
A fee will also change hands, with Pogatetz having been out of favour at the Volkswagen Arena and taken in a loan spell at West Ham United in 2013.
Nurnberg are pleased with the terms of the transfer, with all parties satisfied with what they are getting out of it.
General manager Martin Bader told Sky Deutschland: "I am able to confirm that we have agreed a sensible solution, one that pleases everyone.
"We are happy with the terms and furthermore we will sign a player in Emanuel Pogatetz that will boost our first team."
To Wolfsburger Nachrichten, he added: "We had new rounds of negotiations on Wednesday night and through Thursday as well.
"Those talks were essential to reaching this solution."
