Immanuel Hohn has committed his future to Bundesliga outfit Freiburg by signing a contract extension.
Reports in Germany suggest that the new deal will keep the 21-year-old defender with his current employers until 2017.
Hohn is yet to nail down a regular role in the senior side at Freiburg, but is considered to be a hot prospect for the future.
He made eight first team appearances in 2012/13 and is expected to be a key part of Christian Steich's plans next term following a number of summer departures.
Hohn is delighted to have agreed fresh terms and believes there are better things to come from him and Freiburg heading forward.
He told the club's official website: "The future for me at Freiburg is looking bright, we are a good squad with a lot of quality.
"Everyone is looking to progress at Freiburg. I am really enjoying being part of the set-up."
Director Jochen Saier added: "We are extremely pleased to have agreed a new deal with Immanuel Hohn.
"He is one of those players from our youth academy and has every chance of becoming a valuable player for this club in the future."
