Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes insists he will not be moving upstairs at the end of the season.

The German giants have already confirmed that Pep Guardiola will be taking charge at the Allianz Arena this summer.

Bayern Munich executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggested a possible operative role, but Heynckes would not be happy with that.

Heynckes told LIGA total! television: "I have not been offered that (operative role) and I would not consider that, especially when I am to receive such an offer via the press.

"It would have been way better to consult me first. I am going to reveal my future after the end of this season.

"I am fifty years in this business and I do not think I am going to take over a functionary job after all. Honestly, I am not going to do that."

Heynckes added: "Some time ago my club, which is Borussia Monchengladbach, seriously offered me the role of vice-chairman. And I have even turned that down!"
