Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf's agent claims his client is in no hurry to discuss a new contract.
The former Manchester United forward has been in impressive form this season, netting 10 goals in 19 Bundesliga appearances.
His efforts have sparked inevitable transfer speculation, with Borussia Dortmund among those said to be weighing up the merits of a summer approach.
Hannover have expressed a desire to talk terms with Diouf, allowing them to bring an end to the rumours, but the 25-year-old is already tied to the club until 2014 and has no desire to enter into discussions at this stage.
Diouf's representative Jim Solbakken told Sport-BILD: "We are to carefully consider the future.
"Mame is feeling good being at the club. There is no need to hurry into talks or to make hasty decisions as Mame is under contract until the end of next season."
On the club's hopes for Diouf, Hannover chairman Martin Kind added: "We are aware of the importance of Mame Biram Diouf to our club and will bear that in mind when handing him a proposal for a new contract.
"Diouf is with our club at the moment and has got team-mates around him that allow him to produce this kind of form on the pitch."
