Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker has signed a new contract with Augsburg to commit his future to the club until 2016.
The defender only had six months remaining on his existing deal, but has now put pen to paper on a long-term extension.
General manager Stefan Reuter is delighted to have secured the services of a player who has been a key player since his arrival a couple of years ago.
Reuter told the club's official website: "Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker is a team player who is 100 per cent behind FC Augsburg.
"This new deal signed with another regular of our club is clear proof that all players fully believe in the strength of our first team.
Callsen-Bracker said: "I am glad to have signed a new deal with FC Augsburg. I believe this project is a good thing going on."
