Bundesliga outfit Nurnberg have confirmed the capture of Japan international Mu Kanazaki.
The 23-year-old offensive midfielder, whose contract with Japan's Nagoya Grampus had run out, has joined Nurnberg until 2014, with an option for another two years.
Kanazaki will rejoin fellow countryman and former Oita Trinita team-mate Hiroshi Kiyotake at the German club, who currently sit in 15th in the top flight, eight points above the relegation places.
Nurnberg chairman Martin Bader said: "We were thinking for some time that we needed to boost our offensive force.
"Mu can play in every position and that improves our offensive versatility and quality."
