VfB Stuttgart manager Bruno Labbadia is likely to sign an extension to his current contract at the club, according to general manager Fredi Bobic.
The 46-year-old former Germany international striker has been in charge at the Mercedes-Benz Arena since December 2010, and is on a contract that is due to expire at the end of the season.
Labbadia previously managed Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, and Bobic is keen to tie down his coach to a longer deal, although believes there is no panic to do so.
"Bruno and I are in ongoing conversation," Bobic told Deutsche Pressegentur.
"We are talking about the future of VfB Stuttgart as a club.
"I feel this is a first positive signal.
"Still we may just start discussing the details when we have enough time and rest."
Stuttgart have struggled so far this season in the Bundesliga, currently sitting in 15th position after finishing sixth last term.
