Wellington: Contract with Hoffenheim has been terminated
Hoffenheim have terminated the contract of Brazilian striker Wellington with immediate effect after a poor spell in Germany.
The 24-year-old had one year left on his deal, but the Brazilian will now be allowed to look for a new club this summer.
The striker signed for Hoffenheim from Internacional for a fee of £4million in 2008.
The former Brazil Under-20 international, who spent a year on loan at FC Twente in 2009, has recently been on loan at Club Atletico Linense in Brazil.
Since his move to Germany, the forward managed just three goals in 19 appearances.
