Coveted defender expecting Hannover stay

Hannover defender Emanuel Pogatetz has played down speculation he is on his way out of the club. Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg and Nurnberg have both been linked with the former Middlesbrough player, with the latter rumoured to have already made a bid. But Pogatetz, a first-team regular at awd-Arena since his move from Middlesbrough back in the summer of 2010, is expecting to stay. He told BILD: "I am expecting to stay on. I have just recently signed a new contract until June 2015 with the club." Rumours of Pogatetz's exit come as Hannover have been linked with a move for Felipe Trevizan of Belgium side Standard Liege. Pogatetz has featured in 57 Bundesliga matches in total for the club, including 29 this season, scoring once.
