New Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt has praised the work and training ethic of former Germany international midfielder Michael Ballack.
The ex-Chelsea and Bayern Munich star is not receiving special treatment at BayArena, despite his injury problems of last season.
But Dutt, who succeeded Jupp Heynckes this summer, has still been hugely impressed by Ballack.
Dutt told Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper: "Michael Ballack is doing training as intensively and as hard as every other player. He is not looking to be granted any privileges.
"He did not miss a single session. He is a role-model professional. He is acting in an ideal way."
