Wolfsburg have announced that they have agreed a new deal with midfielder Makoto Hasebe, with the player signing a two-year extension.
The 27-year-old moved to the German club in 2008, becoming a key figure in their Bundesliga winning team in the 2008/09 season.
The Japan international will now stay at the club until 2014 having been a success since moving from Urawa Red Diamonds in his homeland.
Hasebe has made 88 appearances for Wolfsburg in the league since moving to the Volkswagen Arena, scoring two goals.
