Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has revealed he is keen on signing Rosenborg midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred.
Former Chelsea man Arnesen is keen to strengthen his midfield at the Imtech Arena and appears to have singled out the Norway international, who he has been tracking for some time.
The 24-year-old, who has 17 international caps, made his debut for Rosenborg as a 17-year-old in 2004 and is valued at around £850,000 by his club.
"I have been aware of him since he was 15 years of age," Arnesen told BILD.
"He is a great talent that has picked up the necessary experience at the age of 24.
"Per would be a big signing for our club."
