Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic has indicated that the club could be ready to agree the transfer of key midfielder Christian Trasch.
Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke reportedly want to sign the £11million-rated two-time Germany international and are hoping to take advantage of uncertainty over his future.
Trasch has just one year left on his contract and has turned down offers of extensions to mean that Stuttgart may be best advised to sell.
Bobic told kicker-Sportmagazin: "Christian Trasch is under contract at our club and we would be happy to seal a new contract with him."
But he added: "Still, at some point you have to consider your responsibilities towards the club in general."
Stuttgart manager Bruno Labbadia added: "Looking at that much money, you have to think in the narrow sense of the club, even as a manager."
