Bayern Munich have breathed a huge sigh of relief after it was revealed France star Franck Ribery should return to action within a fortnight.
The 27-year-old limped out of Bayern's 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg with a knee injury and it was initially feared he could face a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
But he looks set to return for the Bundesliga clash against Cologne on 5th February after a scan revealed only bruising.
Ribery, who admitted feeling relieved after getting the scan results, has an outside chance of lining up against Werder Bremen next weekend.
Bayern's director of sport Christian Nerlinger said: "He will be okay for the match against Bremen but I think he will make his return against Cologne."
