Freiburg have confirmed that midfielder Yacine Abdessadki has signed a new contract that will keep him at Badenova-Stadion until 2013.
The former Morocco international had rejoined the Bundesliga club on a one-year deal in the summer, two months after leaving as a free agent and failing to find a new employer.
Abdessadki has since become a first-team regular in the plans of Robin Dutt and he has played in 16 of sixth-placed Freiburg's 17 Bundesliga matches this season.
The club's general manager, Dirk Dufner, told their official website: "Freiburg and Yacine have signed a new contract.
"Yacine will be a player of Freiburg for two more years, until June 2013. We are happy to keep Yacine, he has shown a good form this season."
