Bundesliga II outfit Bochum are interested in signing Paraguayan international midfielder Victor Caceres.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder was one of a host of Paraguayans to catch the eye during this summer's World Cup finals, where they reached the quarter-finals before going out to eventual winners Spain.
Caceres, who has spent his entire career playing in his homeland for Libertad and has more than 30 caps, was thought to be close to securing a move to England in the summer.
However, a switch failed to materialise and he has been attracting interest from a number of clubs in Mexico and Germany.
His agent Miguel Gonzalez Zelada, who was due to travel to Europe on Wednesday, told FM 100.1: "There are several teams interested in Victor, some are from Mexico and the others are from Germany.
"The officials of Libertad are more interested in a proposal from Europe so they are waiting for something in the next days.
"The last people that we have been in touch with are from Bochum."
